We are hiring an attorney to help us file as a 501(c)3. We are very excited about this new adventure! This will allow us to apply for grants and funding to help single women feel secure in a safe home environment!

Another encouraging word from the Lord today. God uses our children in big ways and small ways.

My son, Matt gave me encouragement today as he shared with me what he was reading in his devotional time this morning. It is in Oswald Chambers’ devotional, My Utmost for His Highest for July 6th called “Vision and Reality”.

“We always have visions, before a thing is made real. When we realize that although the vision is real, it is not real in us, then is the time that Satan comes in with this temptations, and we are apt to say it is no use to go on. Instead of the vision becoming real, there has come the valley of humiliation.

The need for affordable housing for single mothers is so great that it is difficult to narrow your approach and decide on a starting point. Urban, semi-urban, or rural? Young or old? Seasoned mothers or brand-new mothers? Rent or own?

Where do you see the greatest need? Where would your starting point be? My starting point is where the Lord leads me.

I am just waiting on His leading and timing.

Beginning small is important so that the ministry is able to prove itself faithful and honest to the government, the community and to it’s supporters.

The Bible says,

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much. Luke 16:10
